As an Assistant Teacher you will:

Be an essential part of a 3 person classroom teaching team.
Assist in the development and delivery of lessons that are in accordance with the program’s curriculum
Create positive, child-directed learning environments
Observe and record an assessment of children’s growth, development, and behavior
Work in a family atmosphere, as part of a team that goes above and beyond for each other and the children we serve

 

Work Weeks Per Year: 44
Classification:  Non-Exempt
Pay and Hours

Salary: $19.50-$21.50 based on qualifications

Hours per week: 35 

Weeks per year : 44 Weeks 

Duties & Responsibilities

Qualifications

Qualifications:

A Valid driver’s license.
An understanding of young children and low-income families, and an appreciation of parents as the primary educators of their children.

Toddler Position:

A minimum I/T or Preschool CDA, associate degree in early childhood education, or associate with related coursework in early childhood development.
At least one year of experience working with young children, preferably in an infant/toddler setting.
