Pay Rate:  LPN $24.89/hr.   Weeks per Year: 52  Hours per Week: 20
Receive 21 hours of personal time your first day of hire and accrue paid sick time each pay period.

As the L.E.A.P. Child Health Nurse, LPN you will:
Work closely with all program staff to provide comprehensive services to children and families.
Assist in the review of all health records to assess the health and immunization status of enrolled children.
Conduct health screenings and follow up treatment as needed.
Respond to and assist with referrals from staff and parents regarding health concerns of children and/or their families.
Assist education staff in planning and implementing health activities in the classroom.
Maintain an effective recordkeeping system that ensures thorough documentation on all health services provided.
Assist the Nutrition Manager in developing and implementing resources and a training program for staff and parents.
Serve as an advocate for family and child health care.
Assist in recruitment and in the annual revision of the Comprehensive Program Plan, Policies and Procedures, Community Assessment, and in the program self-assessment.
Qualifications:
NYS Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse with current license or equivalent health background and experience
Preferably one-year experience in a related field.
Clean NYS Drivers License and at least 21 years of age to drive agency vehicles per agency policy and means of reliable transportation
An understanding of young children and low-income families, and an appreciation of parents as the primary educators of their children.
