Celebrating 50 years: Oswego County Opportunities marked 50 years of service with special presentations at its annual meeting. Guest speakers included Jan Resnick (right), former executive director; Alfred “Sonny” Allen (left), one of OCO’s original board members; Matthew Geitner (second from left), son of OCO’s first executive director E. Peter Geitner; and Diane Cooper-Currier, the agency’s current executive director. A series of special events is planned throughout 2016 to celebrate OCO’s rich history of helping lift people out of poverty, to build aweareness of the agency’s more than 50 programs, and to cast a vision for the next 50 years.
