Home Visitor Specialists – Resilient Children and Families - Pro Action has an opportunity for two compassionate, self-motivated individuals with an understanding of child and adolescent development and a desire to support families using a strength-based approach, to provide Home Visiting Services to families in Steuben County.

On a typical day, the Home Visitor will visit with families in their homes to help promote family stability and healthy caregiving practices. You will provide direct support services that include assessing family strengths, needs and progress; conduct screenings and assessments; provide information and resources; and assist with the identification and completion of family goals. You will help families access other resources and coordinate services delivered by partnering agencies.
A Bachelors degree in Family Services, Social Work, Human Services, Education or a related field is preferred for this position. An Associate’s Degree with equivalent experience and knowledge of related field may be considered. Home Visiting experience and/or experience working with families and a knowledge of Steuben County community resources and support services are preferred. Must have excellent organizational, computer, communication, and time management skills. Must have a driver’s license meeting agency standards and consistent, reliable transportation.
