Child Care Aware® of Steuben & Schuyler is a nonprofit resource and referral service dedicated to helping all parents obtain affordable care which will benefit their child and meet complex family needs. We build the supply of various childcare options and improve the quality of care through community education and caregiver training, technical assistance, and tangible supports.
Registrar: Pro Action’s Child Care Aware® of Steuben and Schuyler program is accepting applications for the position of Registrar. This 37.5 hour per week position may include working some evenings.

This position requires a bachelor’s degree in Human Services, Early Childhood, or a related field – or – an associate degree and equivalent experience.
As the Registrar you will assist with the Family Day Care (FDC) and School-age Child Care (SACC) program application process from start to finish. You will provide technical assistance and complete inspections to ensure programs remain in compliance with NYS child daycare regulations.
Successful applicants will be able to manage multiple deadlines and priorities, provide excellent customer service, listen to understand, use various software and database applications, be a flexible team player, perform data entry with accuracy, communicate over the phone, analyze situations, and focus on solutions, and make well-considered decisions.
